Genetically Modified Fruit

So I'm in the grocery store last week, and I come across a package of Apples with the label on them that is pictured below. I think: "Wow, I may have read about something like that recently, I should try this- it must be a new crossbreed of apples and grapes." Especially since the Plouts (plum/apricots) are right next door. The apples sure do smell like grapes though- overpowering, unmistakeable, like big Concord grapes.

I get home and am anxious to try one, because they smell so good. I eat one, and I think: "Sure does taste like an apple, but maybe it's so subtle that I just don't notice it, because I can smell grape." Plus I don't usually eat Washington apples, so it's a strange apple flavor for me. Anyways, as I'm eating this thing I notice it has kind of a waxy outside, so I try to wash it off, but to no avail. I actually thought to myself: "This must be a by product of the cross, a waxy skin."

So to make a long story short, look carefully at the label below, and take special note of the listed ingredients!
