Yup, looks like I missed a couple/few days...

But I am psyched right now, because I'm going to get some coffee. Ha! So I just heard a knock at the door and decided just to be shady and look out the peephole. I didn't recognize the person out there, so I just ignored them. Turns out it was the realtor that runs this condo/ apartment complex. I was considering making a purchase a few weeks ago, but I need to work on my credit a little first, and I'm going to have to get something multifamily anyway. Paying rent does seem silly though, I really want to start building some equity in something.

So, not having written for a while, this all seems very strange to me. The most I've ever written before was for a paper in school, I don't know that I've ever written for fun before. It's kind of neat to just spew on about whatever's top of mind. I see a pattern deveolping though, and it seems like I have this two thought sentence thing going, each thought seperated by a comma. Which makes me want to open this blog up for comment- I'm going to do just that!

The morning after

Well, I didn't get to go to Crazy Burger last night, but we did visit Don and Missy in Wakefield. We hooked up some nice pieces of salmon on the grill with a sesame ginger marinade. Then there was this great pasta on the side with a lemon ginger sauce and roasted garlic. Mmmmmmm... roasted garlic. We hit up the Bon Vue and said hello to Felicia. I did manage to win $36 playing Keno while we were there- sweet!

I had some rather strange dreams this morning. All I can really remember from it was trying to plot out a map for someone, or give directions. The clearest part of it was thinking about a route in my head, and trying to describe with words. The person I was giving the directions to didn't know the area though, so I wasn't sure if they were following what I was saying, and thought to myself it would be easier if I just showed them. I wonder what it means? Probably nothing-

Well, time to get to work (damn- I just want to go back to sleep!!!)- maybe I'll make some coffee...

Happy Holidays

Well here we are again at this great day of the year... four twenty. It came up fast, last I knew it was my birthday, and now a month has passed. Serious alliteration. Where is all this time going? Maybe through this writing exercise I will have a good idea of what has happened. I guess that all depends on what I choose to write about, which actually may be a piece of the puzzle itself... subject matters.

In case you were wondering, I ended up making portabella pizzas- quite tasty. First I had a few portabella caps, I washed them and cut out the stem, saving the pieces, so there was a small pit in the middle of the gills. The caps were put in the oven gill side up at 350 degrees for about 6 minutes. I roasted some garlic and sauteed it with some red onion, some tomato and the pieces I removed from the portabella caps. I then spread some sauce (tomato basil for pasta- I think it was Classico) on the gill side of the mushroom. Meanwhile, I roasted some garlic and sauteed it with some red onion, some tomato and the pieces I removed from the portabella caps. Then I put some of the sauteed mixture on top of the sauce, and also added a thin slice of tomato and a couple of slices of fresh mozzarella. I put it back in the oven for about 10 minutes- sure was tasty!!! Served it up with some ricey wheat mixture Kristin brought that was garlic flavored.

Four twenty today has come and passed- I was at work in my office, but I did notice when it was 4:19. Looks like Crazy Burger is on the menu tonight. It's a great day for driving down toward the ocean- and they have great food at the Burger and the best deal going: BYOB and $40 for two people all you can eat! I'm psyched.

Coffee seems to have some relevance on this fine day. And that's that. Time to shower and then I will eat. Sounds like a good short term plan.

Yeah so... what about coffee?

Just got back from a bike a ride, coffee's probably the last thing on my mind. The bike ride seems to get easier everytime I go. It's about 5 miles, probably 50/50 uphill and down, and I've been riding it for about 2 weeks now. I'm trying to build up some stamina and drop the tiny bit of flab I've built over between the years I used to ride my bike everyday and now. I think all the inactivity inbetween has contributed to my current frame. It's not that I haven't been doing anything though- it's just that most of it was in front of a computer screen. So what about coffee?

I've gotta say that I'm really diggin the 50/50 blend I whipped up last week- Ethiopian Harrar Horse Special and Zimbabwe AA- nice African blend. My Bodum Santos electric vacuum coffee pot is truly a wonder. It makes the best damn cup, but it's so finicky. The coffee beans need to be ground finer than auto drip, and if they're not thoroughly ground, the coffee comes out a bit watery. The cool thing about it though is that you can pick the pot up and set it on the table- it's electric so there's no hot bottom!

Anyways- I told Kristin that I would make her dinner a few minutes ago. I need to find a recipe for these Portabella caps I have in the fridge. Mmmmmm... mushrooms! ((drooling like Homer))

End of the day- 4/18

And here I am at the end of the day. I got so caught up on working on the new Archer Research site, that the rest of the day seemed to melt away. At least I recorded the Simpsons. Kristin came to visit to watch the Sopranos. Other than that I took a bike ride today, and pretty much just cracked out on market research web design. Site is coming along well though, looks like it will be wrapped up this week. I'll keep you posted.

Yauco Selecto

Well here I am on Sunday morning, no new dreams to report- today I am drinking Puerto Rican Yauco Selecto blended with Majik Coffee's own "Blend of the Black Pearls", a scrumptious blend of South American Coffees. Damn that Yauco is sweet! Supposedly it has the highest concentration of natuarlly occuring sugar in any coffee. The report from the Micro Roaster is that the sugar produces quite a but of smoke when it's roasted. Check out the coffee forum from my last blog, and look out for Coffeecionado.com comping soon. Be sure to try some Jamaican Blue Mountain when you get a chance- it's well worth the extra dough!
