Michael Moore's Publicity Stunt- ha!

Rennie Pilgrem- OMG

Wow- I was thoroughly impressed- I went to check out Rennie Pilgrem last night at the local techno evening- Plastic. Needless to say, I did get a chance to dance and sweat my ass off! Performing as a DJ, Rennie didn't pull of any amazing feats, pretty standard so far as DJ's go- but the track selection was off the hook! Being the for founder of the New School breaks revolution, Rennie had quite a few bangin' tracks in his record bag/ cd book. One of particular note was a stunning breakbeat rendition of The Beastie Boys- "Fight for Your Right (to party)", I can only assume that it was Rennie's own mix, as I've never heard it before.

By the end of his two hour set, I was soaking wet from sweating tea whole time, but definitely felt great. In the past I would get pretty worn down when I went out dancing, and didn't really have too much stamina. With the recent exercising and bike riding, I definitely noticed a big difference.

Rob came out with Kristin and I, and we sure had a blast. I wasn't sure if Kristin would dig the breakbeats, but she looked to be enjoying herself. I know who can't stand the four to the floor beat, and I can see where she's coming from- techno is kind of like country music, either you love it or you hate it. Well enough for now- check out some of those cool links down there-

Media Matters for America

Media Matters for America

Someone to the rescue!!!

The site, called Media Matters, was devised as part of a larger media apparatus being built by liberals to combat what they say is the overwhelming influence of conservative commentators like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly.

Dreams of school...

So I had this dream this morning/ last night that put me back on campus at URI. I had apparently not gone to a couple of my classes for a while. I think I had maybe 4 to attend, and it was about 3/4 of the way through the semester, and I realized that I hadn't been to two of my classes since the first few weeks of school. It didn't matter much though, the reason I was in school was just for fun anyways, It didn't seem like I was really working towards any degree in particular. Weird... I need to make some coffee- I think I'll have some of the Puerto Rican Yauco Selecto this morning- mmmmmmmm...... Yauco.
